INSIGHT Lab Demo

OK, This event has passed for a while. I posted now because first, the Chinese New Year was coincidentally right after this, and second, this project was not part of my job originally.

That's talk about this demo. Generally this lab is made up for a view of 

future family, so  basically this lab is composed with living room, bed room, rest room, etc like a normal house design. How

ever, with a micro view, there is nothing about being normal. There are cameras, infrared rays to monitor users motion everywhere, and ubiquitous wireless equipment even on users' body. It seems like really a cutting edge design both technologically and psychologically (I really can't imagine life with those equipment even though I'm part of the designer.)

Stop being cynical and take a look on the demo.

This is our demo (bed room.) We are designed a interface for user having sleeping 

problems. The monitor right beside the bed is our work. It can record the sleeping status of the user everyday, and with these records psychiatrist can diagnose more specifically.

 This is a system (sorry, I really can't recall its name) for reminding the elders to medicate on time. The system is composed with  a couple of medicine boxes (of course they're electronic) and a main system monitor. With some configuration, user can set up some reminders for their parents and help them to take medicine correctly.

And this is a indoor garden which I'm really into it. It introduce the concept of tide to irrigate the plants. Except this unfortunately there is few technological invention worth mentioning, but still as far as I'm concerned, having a green location in the house is really fascinating.

Of course, there are many other part of the demo. I'll post them when I get their photos.

The Remote Desktop Connection Problems

2. XP to Vista needs to support Verification (Only SP3 supports)

3. If you use the NVIDIA display chips, and conicidently you use the version 175.16 or 175.19, there might be a confliction.

Solution:  Modify the registry code :

add this DWORD

機器人產業人才培育及認證計劃啟動暨研討會

This conference really mess up my schedule.

Abstract:

This is a conference for the promotion of robotic industry.

The following list is the participants of this conference:

1. Many professors involved in the industry from everywhere in Taiwan.

2. Microsoft

3. National Instrument (NI)

4. CE NTU

5. ME National Taiwan University of Technology

Basically, I go to this conference to demo my work on Microsoft Robotic Develop Studio (MSRDS).

It a program on this platform for Image processing (Edge Detection). It sucks because of the limatation of time. However, many visitors still impress by the program (or the platform?).

This problem occurs in VS2008.

Basically this problem results from a missing key file (at least as far as I'm concerned).

As a result, if you still have problems after reading the documentation of MS help, try

copy the key file you generated with the strong name tool to the "bin" directory which

is probably under the MSRDS directory after you installed.

1. Generate the key file with SN (Strong Name) tool:

    開啟 Visual Studio.NET 命令提示字元，然後再輸入下列命令： sn-k key.snk

2. Put the key file in your project directory:

    In fact, you only have to put in your project directory and change the path in "AssemblyInfo.cs" to indicated it like

    [assembly: AssemblyKeyFile("Mykey.snk")] 

3. If it still doesn't work out, try to put the key file to the "bin" directory.
